Ruoshan
Ruoshan began volunteering with ICEA during her junior year at Harvard-Westlake School. After dedicating two years to volunteering, she was admitted to Berkeley University in 2022. She is passionate about the intersection of computer science, entrepreneurship, and biomedical research. She is the only high school intern at the Kuhn-Hicks Lab of USC, where she uses machine learning algorithms and single cell microscopy to research cancer cell morphology and gene alteration. She is the co-founder of innovaTEEN, an online platform dedicated to supporting high school entrepreneurs by helping them connect to potential business partners. Ruoshan is also the co-CEO of Whistle, an app that serves as a support system for sexual assault victims by connecting them to hotlines, shelters, and online support forums. At school, she is the president of Girls Who Code, Red Cross, Best Buddies, and HW HOSA, Consulting Director for HW Venture, and a Features Editor for the Pacemaker-winning Harvard-Westlake Chronicle. She initialized “Kids Can Code!” for all kids who want to learn coding and have fun with coding, which is an 8-week tech entrepreneurship program sponsored by I.C.E.A. Incubator for Kids.

Felix
He began his volunteering journey at the young age of 7. He founded the ICEA Math and Chess clubs, as well as the GlobalAirlearning.org program. Due to his tireless efforts, he received the Gold President Volunteer Award for 5 consecutive years since 2019. Felix has been admitted to Windward School’s Class of 2029 as a rising 7th grader. Through his immersive volunteering, he has become an experienced math and chess teacher, having taught over 100 students. He also trains other kids to excel in various areas, showcasing his leadership skills. Felix achieved a perfect score and received the 2023 AMC 8 Honor Roll of Distinction and he is an AIME qualifier in 2024. Additionally, he has authored three books on his favorite topics. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, running, math, puzzles, chess, swimming, and playing the piano.

Icy is currently a junior at Santa Monica High School. She’s been playing the violin for many years and participates in her school’s highest orchestra. She has also been taking art lessons since nine years old. These skills enable Icy to further develop her artistic ability and result in high-quality video editing for ICEA. Additionally, she coaches rhythmic gymnastics in her free time and enjoys sharing her knowledge with the community through schools, churches, and children’s programs. It’s always her pleasure to help those around her.
