Creating an Account:

Making a Donation:

When you make an online donation on I.C.E.A..org via Zella or PayPal, their use of your information is based on their terms of service and policies, not ours, so we encourage you to review those policies carefully.

Contests, Promotions, and Surveys:

Periodically, I.C.E.A. may invite you to participate in contests, take advantage of special promotions, and complete online surveys. If you have created a I.C.E.A. account or profile, information we collect from these contests, promotions, and surveys may be associated with you personally..

Information Obtained From Other Sources

We may obtain information about you from public records and from databases like OFAC when conducting due diligence on nonprofit organization or conducting fraud prevention checks on donations.

Use of Information

Any of the information we collect from you may be used to personalize your experience, improve our website, improve service, process transactions, send periodic emails. The email address you provide for order processing will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order. If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include news, updates, related service information, etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

Disclosure of Personal Data

We will share your personal data with our agents, representatives, service providers and contractors in order to process your donations, offer you services in connection with our Website, communicate news and information about I.C.E.A., provide customer service, and complete financial transactions.   • When you make a donation that is part of a campaign sponsored by your employer, and/or when your employer is being asked to match your donation, we will share your name, email address and the amount of you donation with your employer.

If I.C.E.A. merges with, or becomes an affiliate of another organization, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal data involved in such transactions and provide notice before personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may also be required to disclose your personal data in the following circumstances: (1) we need to respond to a subpoena, court order or legal process, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; (2) an emergency situation requires disclosure before your permission can be obtained (e.g., situations involving potential threats to personal safety), or; (3) we determine that disclosure is needed to protect our rights or property, or the rights or property of another person, in which case we will implement appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal data continues to be protected.

We may share aggregated demographic and statistical information with our other partners. This is not linked to any personal data that can identify any individual person.

Welcome to I.C.E.A Family.

Thanks for using our products and services (“Services”). The Services are provided by International Children Education Association (ICEA), which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting young children’s capability to better adapt to a vibrant, multiracial, multi-ethnic, and multicultural society via workshops, seminars, multicultural events, language-Learning programs, and international student exchange program.

By using our Services or attending our Events, you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Terms of Service

This Terms of Service Agreement (the “Agreement“) is between you (“you“) and International Children Education Association (I.C.E.A.) (together with our affiliates, service providers, and partners, “International Children Education Association”,  “I.C.E.A.”, “we,” and/or “us”) and governs your use of ICEA web site and successor web site(s) (the “Site“), including the materials and information posted on it, and the functionality that permits you to make donations and to use any other functionality offered through the website.

Donation

By making a payment you acknowledge and agree that you are at least eighteen years of age, legally competent, and that you are entering into a legally binding contract with GlobalGiving governing your use of the Site, which contract includes all Supplementary Terms. If you are an individual accepting this Agreement on behalf of an agency or entity, you warrant that you have the legal right to accept this Agreement on behalf of such agency or entity and that the agency or entity will also be bound by this Agreement. You acknowledge and agree that International Children Education Association (I.C.E.A.) retains control over the donated funds.

Accounts and membership

If you create an account on the Website, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the account and any other actions taken in connection with it. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized uses of your account or any other breaches of security. We are not responsible for Content residing on the Website. In no event shall we be held liable for any loss of any Content. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL I.C.E.A., ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO ANY PERSON FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, COVER OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, SALES, GOODWILL, USE OR CONTENT, IMPACT ON BUSINESS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY) HOWEVER CAUSED, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONTRACT, TORT, WARRANTY, BREACH OF STATUTORY DUTY, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF I.C.E.A. HAS BEEN ADVISED AS TO THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR COULD HAVE FORESEEN SUCH DAMAGES.

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SITE IS TO STOP USING THE SITE. THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF GLOBALGIVING FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES AND CAUSES OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE $10 US DOLLARS.

Indemnification

Dispute resolution

The formation, interpretation, and performance of this Agreement and any disputes arising out of it shall be governed by the substantive and procedural laws of California, United States without regard to its rules on conflicts or choice of law and, to the extent applicable, the laws of United States. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for actions related to the subject matter hereof shall be the state and federal courts located in California, United States, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. You hereby waive any right to a jury trial in any proceeding arising out of or related to this Agreement. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to this Agreement.

Changes and amendments

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement or its policies relating to the Website or Services in its sole discretion by posting an announcement of such changes on the Site, along with the revised Agreement marked to show the date of last revision.  By continuing to use the Site after such changes are posted, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the Agreement as modified.

Modification, Suspension, and/or Cancellation

We reserve the right to modify the Site, and change, suspend, or discontinue providing all or part of the content or functionality of the Site in its sole discretion, with or without notice. You agree that GlobalGiving shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such actions.

Acceptance of these terms

You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions. By using the Website or its Services you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
