What will children learn:
Children will learn about the writing process, about reading an essay prompt carefully, brainstorming ideas, planning, writing, editing their own work, and rewriting. They will become familiar with various types of writing, including narratives, process essays, comparison essays, poetry, and drama. They will create a finished portfolio of all of their writings. Class will culminate with dramatic readings of their fables.
