Seminar Description
Bilingualism Makes Your Brain/Mind Better – Let’s Avoid First Language Attrition
Do you or your children want to be bilinguals but are not motivated to do so? Are you struggling with your children’s language education/acquisition issue?
This talk will address these issues from two perspectives: a) the benefits of bilingualism in the areas beyond communication, which make bilinguals “smarter” than counterparts but are NOT well-known to the public, and b) some principals about how to raise bilingual children efficiently—in particular, how to avoid first language attrition among the 2nd generation of immigrants.
